How can I stop spending money in necessary?

I like to do all what come up to my mind but every time I have some money left I just can't keep it, all I want to do is spend it. I really appreciate much your help, I need some advice of how I can stop this unnecessary spending. Thanks on advance for your help!

1. So, another compulsive shopper? I'm not sure if there IS a cure... leave your money at home? lol....
2. Developing a habit of saving, say 10 to 20% of what you earn is a good starting point, even if the amount earned is low. You could put this in a savings account in your local bank.
3. What helps me manage, and save money now, is the thought of being over 65 and having no other option but living off dog food. Try it yourself, and see if it helps.
