Kentucky....?
Has anyone ever lived in Kentucky? What are the pros and cons?

- MOVE TO MICHIGAN!
- I've lived in Kentucky most of my life. Taxes are low, people (in general) are friendly and it's a beautiful state. However, small towns are a little boring...I live in one and there is nothing really to do. Kentucky, south/east Kentucky specifically, moves at a much slower pace than a lot of the other places I've been to. There are horses everywhere you look (especially around Lexington), and mostly just a lot of rural land. Some cities are expanding though (Lexington and Louisville mainly). There is a lot of natural beauty to the state. If you're an outdoors kind of person, you'll love it. The weather can be a pain, though. The summers are brutally hot and the winters are freezing. It goes to the extremes. It also changes a lot...there is a saying: "Don't like the weather in Kentucky? Stick around, it'll change." Edit: Pay no attention to "Multi Accented"...he has multiple accounts on here and they're all about the same thing...bashing Kentucky.
- I live in Kentucky, its a wonderful state to live in!
- Kentucky is a great place to live. The central location.
- I live in Kentucky. Moved here from Indiana... I love it, but I like small town life and a rural setting. Happiness is what you create around you, not what around you creates....hokey but true! Wow...B, martha J and I all have the same avatar...must be a kentucky girl thang! ;>)
- I lived in Lexington when I was in college and my family is from a very small town in south central Kentucky. I went to Lexington from a bigger city, so I felt like it wasn't big enough to suit me. It's a really nice city though. Very clean, people are friendly. My hubby lived in Louisville, and that is also a nice city. Many of the counties are rural and the small towns are really small towns. Lexington is growing and I think that the roads aren't growing with them. I get tired of the traffic on the more travelled roads. So, it just depends on what you are looking for.
- i live in ashland (5 mins from WV and OH) i have lived here for about 10 years now....ive moved to SC twice for short periods of time the past couple years and have moved back...why? i dont know...my fiance wanted to come back both times. i do prefer it over a big busy noisy city. there's absolutely nothing to do except the movies. but it is nearby Huntington, WV and Charleston and theres a little to do there. overall: KY sucks...yet i dont think i would want to live somewhere else.
